Fiscal Year 2025 marked a landmark chapter for CMMB Kenya. We transitioned to become an independent national NGO—the Centre for Medical Mobilisation Board (CMMB Kenya)—deepening our local ownership and enabling sustainable, community-driven health solutions tailored to the Kenyan context.

Our mission remains steadfast: to provide quality healthcare to those in need, without discrimination. Guided by our values of collaboration, love, excellence, accountability, and respect, we continue building a healthier, more equitable future for women, children, and families across Kenya.

In FY25, we reached 922,020 people directly through our initiatives across 13 counties

Program Highlights

Maternal, Newborn & Child Health

We reached 47,726 pregnant women with essential maternal, neonatal and child health services and provided care to 19,560 children under five in Kitui County. We equipped 171 health facilities, installed life-saving newborn equipment, and achieved an 11% reduction in asphyxia-related neonatal deaths. 17,838 children were fully immunised, reaching 90% of infants in our catchment areas.

Water, Sanitation & Hygiene

We strengthened water security for 437,040 people in Kitui and Kisumu counties, distributing 4.1 million water purification sachets and extending the SMEK water pipeline.

Livelihoods & Climate Resilience

We supported 740 vulnerable people with cash transfers, enabled 362 children to attend school, and supported 100 households with sustainable livelihoods. 63% of supported households established income-generating activities.

Non-Communicable Diseases

We mapped NCD service gaps across 50 facilities in 10 counties, trained 180 healthcare workers, and delivered 271,123 medication packs for diabetes and hypertension patients. Digital tools now enable real-time commodity tracking, reducing stockouts and improving patient care.

Eye Care

We trained 235 healthcare workers, diagnosed and treated 2,677 individuals with vision impairment, and increased cataract surgical rates from 19% to 43% in Kitui County.

Infectious Diseases

HIV: Reached 5,492 people with essential services, tested 4,387 people, and supported 466 pregnant women with PMTCT interventions.

Malaria: Reached 20,893 people, with 5,361 pregnant women receiving IPTp and 4,340 cases treated at the community level.

Tuberculosis: Empowered 1,302 CHPs, strengthened 127 support groups, and reached 13,018 learners through school sensitizations.

Preventing Gender-Based Violence

We identified and reported 257 GBV cases, resolved 47 cases, and reached 4,209 community members through “Know Your Rights” campaigns.
